Offset printing process of cartons

The offset printing has the advantages of simple plate making technology, low cost, and fast speed. It is the most widely used indirect printing technology today. It has always occupied a dominant position in book and newspaper printing and paper packaging printing. The graphic part and blank part of the printing plate are almost on the same plane. When printing, the printing plate is first supplied with water and moistened its blank part. Afterwards, the ink is coated and the ink is transferred to the rubber cloth using the principle of oil and water repulsion. Then transfer to the substrate to complete a printing process.

Although the offset printing technology is relatively mature, the printing speed is fast, but this method is not suitable for the cardboard linkage production line, the production efficiency of the finished product is low, the process is complex, and the cycle is long. Due to the use of wet printing liquid in the process of offset printing, the moisture content of the original paper will be increased, and improper control will also result in the failure of overprinting. In addition to the pressure of offset printing, limited printing surface and other factors, can not meet the needs of the production of large quantities of cartons.

From the perspective of the paperboard processing process, the process of mounting after offset printing will also be due to pressure and excessive moisture left in the colloid, making it difficult for the carton's flat pressure strength, adhesion strength and other technical indicators to meet the requirements of high-end merchandise packaging. In addition, offset printing is not yet relatively environmentally friendly ink use is also an obstacle to its use and promotion.
